Connectivity troubleshooting

Clash Meta Client Has No Internet

Troubleshoot no connectivity after starting a Clash Meta / Mihomo client, including proxy settings, profiles, and port conflicts.

Content reviewed: 2026-08-21

Who it is for

Users whose client starts but browsers, terminals, or other apps cannot connect.

Before troubleshooting

  • Confirm the profile loaded successfully
  • Record proxy settings, listening port, and logs
  • Prepare a normal non-sensitive page for testing

Troubleshooting steps

  1. 1

Confirm the client is running and the profile has usable nodes or proxy groups.

  2. 2

Check that the system proxy points to the client listening address and port; do not run multiple proxy apps at once.

  3. 3

Check port conflicts, DNS behavior, and firewall rules.

  4. 4

Disable TUN and complex rules, test with a minimal profile, and restore custom settings gradually.

Common issues

The client runs but the proxy is not active

Check the system proxy switch and listening port manually; clients do not automatically cover every app.

Only some apps fail

The app may ignore system proxy settings, miss a rule, or need TUN; inspect logs before changing settings.

Next step

If the problem started after enabling TUN, read the TUN troubleshooting guide.
